Instructions for swim schools at no cost

Welcome to our swim schools at no cost! Here you will find instructions for Pop-up swim schools as well as girls’ and women’s swim schools

Arrival

Please arrive around 10–15 minutes before the lesson begins. Participants may enter the water only when their own swim school session starts. The swimming instructor will take attendance. You must leave the facilities within 15 minutes after the lesson has ended.

We kindly ask you to be considerate of other customers. For safety reasons, children are expected to listen to the instructor throughout the lesson and should not leave the session alone before it has ended.

Use of changing rooms

Children over the age of 7 must use the changing room corresponding to their gender independently. An adult may accompany the child to the changing room if needed and assist the child in the shower area while fully clothed, without shoes/socks or while wearing indoor shoes. If an adult assists the child in the changing room, the changing room used must correspond to the accompanying adult’s gender.

Children must wash thoroughly with soap before and after swimming. Children with long hair should tie their hair back or wear a swim cap. It is recommended that the child uses the toilet before the lesson begins, and heavy meals immediately before the lesson should be avoided.

Swim schools at beaches during the summer season

For swim schools organised at beaches during the summer season, the guardian is responsible for the child’s safety throughout the entire lesson. The guardian must remain at the beach for the full duration of the swim school session, and the child cannot be left solely in the instructor’s care. The swimming instructor is responsible for teaching, but the guardian is always responsible for the child’s safety. A child cannot participate in the swim school if a guardian is not present to supervise.
