Where is baby swimming held in Helsinki?
FitPit's baby swimming sessions are held in the private warm-water pool at Valkea talo in Haaga. The water temperature is around 32°C, which makes the session comfortable for the baby. Because it's a private pool, there are no public swimmers and none of the crowding you'd find at a large public pool.
Who can take part in baby swimming?
Babies aged 3–12 months can take part in baby swimming, together with one or two adults. The baby must weigh over 5 kg before starting, to stay warm enough in the 32°C water.
Groups are guided in Finnish.
Baby swimming helps build a positive relationship with water
In baby swimming, babies learn to enjoy being in the water from an early age. Starting to swim early supports learning to swim later on and increases water safety. At the same time, the baby practices motor skills, and the adult gets shared moments and connections with other families.

Yes. Baby swimming can be started at any point between 3 and 12 months. Groups include babies of different ages, and activities are adapted to each baby's stage.
Does the baby or adult need to know how to swim?
No. No prior swimming experience is required, for either the baby or the adult.
Who can come swimming with the baby?
An adult familiar to the baby, such as a parent or grandparent. One or two adults may take part, and both are included in the price.
What happens during baby swimming?
Babies get used to the water and the pool environment through songs, rhymes, play, and guided exercises. Each session has its own theme.
What if the baby has a bad day?
That's completely fine. If the baby is fussy or tired, the session can be paused and tried again next time. Baby swimming always follows the baby's lead.
