General questions

The schedules for swimming courses and swimming schools are visible in our online store.
In the online store, it's possible to filter the view based on the time. First, choose the type of lesson you prefer, and then you can refine your search by selecting the location or service. Additionally, there is a selection panel from which you can filter the view based on the time of day or the day of the week.
Please note that a swimming course or swimming school will no longer appear in our online store once it is fully booked. If you have enrolled in a course, you will find the schedule and course details in the booking confirmation email you received.

You can cancel your participation by emailing our customer service at asiakaspalvelu@fitpit.fi.
According to our terms and conditions, cancellations for reserved courses must be made at least two weeks before the start date in order to cancel participation entirely or reschedule to another date.
If you cancel your participation within 1-14 days before the course start date, we will charge 50% of the total course price. No refund will be issued if there is less than 24 hours until the start time. You can read more about our terms and conditions here.
The prices of services include a 15€ administrative fee, which is non-refundable in the event of contract termination.

Yes, you can! We accept the following payment methods for sports benefits: ePassi and Edenred.
Please note that sports benefits are personal, and you cannot use them for other people's course fees — including those of your children. Instructions for using sports benefits can be found here.

You will receive the necessary door code in the booking confirmation, which will be sent to you by email when you make your reservation.
The door code is required at Valkea talo, Kilo and Käpylä.

FitPit offers swimming instruction in Finnish and English.
Adult swim schools and courses are available in both Finnish and English. Children’s swim schools are currently available only in Finnish. Private lessons are available in both Finnish and English for both children and adults.
You can find the language of instruction for each course in the course description in our online store.
Absences from swimming lessons

You don't need to notify your instructor about a single absence — no separate absence notice is required.

You can make up an absence on your course in accordance with our contract terms. You can learn more about our absence policy here.

You can make up an absence from your swimming lesson with a separate drop-in session at Valkea talo in Haaga or Kilo Swimming Hall. Learn more about our absence policy here.
Online store

You can pay in the online store with online bank payment, major credit cards, and invoicing.

You can use a promo code in the online store when making a reservation by entering the received promotional code in the 'Promotional Code' section. Log in to the online store to activate the offer.

If the promo code you received isn't working in the online store, first ensure that you are logged in to the online store with your customer account. Also, double-check the spelling of the promotional code, as the online store doesn't recognize possible typos or spaces in the promotional code. Please note the difference between uppercase and lowercase letters when entering the promotional code.

Adult swimming lessons

The descriptions and skill requirements for the swimming courses and swimming schools are compiled on our website. Skill requirements for the adult swimming courses can be also found on our online shop.

We organize swimming courses and swim schools for adults at private swimming pools in the Helsinki metropolitan area. You can find a detailed list of our swimming locations here, including the address of each pool.
Lessons take place in private swimming facilities without public swimmers in the pool.

Private swimming lessons can be arranged in the metropolitan area, in public swimming pools or in private swimming pools that FitPit uses. You can find a list of our swimming locations here or you can suggest a different location to us.

You can send a written message by email to asiakaspalvelu@fitpit.fi, and it will be forwarded directly to your instructor. Please include your course level and scheduled time in the message.

Swimming lessons require only a swimsuit, a towel, and goggles. Good goggles are an important part of a successful swimming experience.
If needed, fins, pull buoys, kickboards, and other training aids can be used to support swimming. Swimming courses occasionally use these aids to assist instruction. All equipment used in the courses is provided at the pool, so participants do not need to bring their own swimming gear.
Children’s swimming schools

Please note that children’s swim lessons are conducted in Finnish.

Children should wear swimming goggles in swim school, as good goggles are an essential part of a successful swimming experience.
Quality goggles make being in the water easier. They protect the eyes from splashes and allow the child to see clearly while diving. Wearing goggles helps the child focus better on learning to swim.

Children over 13 can participate in either children’s swim lessons or adult swim lessons. The participant can choose which group feels more suitable.
