Private pools and small group sizes make learning to swim both fun and effective

At FitPit swim schools, children practice swimming in a calm and peaceful environment — our pools are reserved exclusively for our groups, with no public swimmers sharing the water. Every lesson includes a warm-up game and a closing game to keep learning enjoyable and motivating. Through play and joy, children naturally grow comfortable in the water, and every small success builds their confidence.

What our customers say

  • Please bring a swimsuit, towel and goggles. Good swimming goggles are a very important part of a successful swimming experience. If they wish, the child may also wear a swim cap or bring their own swimming equipment.

  • FitPit’s swimming lessons are designed for children aged 3 and up. Groups are divided by age so that teaching matches the child’s stage of development and supports safe learning in the water.

Each swimming group also has its own skill requirement. If your child meets the requirement, you can enrol them with confidence. This helps us ensure that the group is the right fit and that learning can progress calmly and safely.

Please check the course-specific age and skill requirements in our online store when making a booking.

  • FitPit swimming lessons are held in Helsinki and Espoo. You can find more detailed information about our pool locations in our online store by using the location filter.

  • A parent may accompany the child to the pool area, but the child takes part in the swimming lesson independently. Parents do not join the child in the water.

To ensure a calm learning environment, parents are asked to leave the pool area when the lesson begins.

  • If, at the start of the swimming lesson, it becomes clear that another group would be a better fit, we can move your child to a different group if space is available. The most important thing is that the child is in a group where learning feels safe and meaningful.
